PROCUREMENT OFFICER - ENERGY/DEFENCE/AEROSPACE - CONTRACT

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and make an immediate impact in the procurement/commercial team

Responsibilities;

- Developing appropriate commercial strategies and contract models for work undertaken
- Responsible for Tender preparation, negotiation, contract placement and contract management.
- Contributing ideas that could lead to improvements in the current method of operating within the team.
- Contributing to the on-going procurement plan and its maintenance.
- Acting as the first point of contact for a variety of queries raised by the business or the external supply chain.

Knowledge Required;

- Understanding of drafting commercial strategies and contract models.
- Understanding of tender preparation, negotiation, contract placement and contract management.
- Experience of purchasing and negotiation, and managing contracts once placed
- Understanding of terms and conditions principles.
- Able to identify contract issues and take the appropriate action
- Good MS Word and Excel skills.
