My Bedford based client is looking for a Procurement Officer/Procurement Support/Public Sector Procurement Officer to take on a contract.

The role:
Providing procurement support and advice to business units to deliver projects and work streams to time, quality and within budget. Managing specific pieces of work to meet objectives, ensuring relevant policies and procedures are followed and opportunities for improvements are identified.

You will:

- Assist major contract procurements, including project manage the procurement phase, scrutinise and approve contract documents and manage the procurement through the Agency's E-procurement portals (Bravo and Award).
- Assist with procurement queries from business units, including providing advice on contracts, compensation events and maintaining a register of advice given.
- Ensure that all aspects of Corporate Governance are complied with in respect of resources; budgets and processes
- Assist the Group Manager in the effective running of his Team
- Ensure relevant information management systems are updated within two working days of the notification of any new procurement or change.

- Prequalification document drafting
- NEC contract documents compilation
- NEC contract procurement management
- NEC contract interpretation
- Electronic procurement (preferably using Bravo and Award)
