ROLE: PROCUREMENT OFFICER/BUYER

LOCATION: LEEDS

DURATION: 12+ Month Initially with possible extension

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

- Demonstrable procurement and commercial experience and expertise at the appropriate level and Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS)
- Or Demonstrable procurement and commercial experience at the appropriate level and must be prepared to work towards the Advanced Diploma (Associate Level) standard of CIPS.
- This should be planned to be achieved within 2 years of taking up post.
- Experience/knowledge of the commercial life cycle and proficient in the relevant national/international legislation eg EU procurement Directive
- Supplier relationship management skills that extend across both supplier and customer organisations.
- Impact and influencing skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders in a meaningful way.
- An understanding of supplier performance management issues.
- An awareness of the regulatory framework and the ability to effectively and efficiently lead a team of commercial staff.
