Procurement Officer

PROCUREMENT OFFICER, ideally with PUBLIC SECTOR PROCUREMENT experience, required for INITIAL 3 MONTH CONTRACT with PUBLIC SECTOR CLIENT in DUMBARTON.

- Support the implementation of the procurement strategy and delivery of the procurement action plan
- Develop, implement and manage commodity strategies
- Ensure the ongoing effectiveness of contractual arrangements
- Deliver efficiencies in costs of goods, works and services
- Design, implement and drive a category management approach to procurement activity

Essential Skills

- Proven track record in a procurement role within a regulated environment
- Experience of supporting the delivery of change
- Experience in developing and implementing commodity strategies
- Experience of operating in a multi stakeholder role

Desirable skills:

- Public sector procurement experience
- Experience of a category management approach to service delivery
- Experience of service re-design
