PROCUREMENT MANAGER/SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

Tangent are currently looking for a Procurement Manager with a highway/rail background to work for their client, a large infrastructure organisation, based in Warrington.

Looking for someone who has experience of delivering all procurement aspects of a main major project ideally within the highways industry/sector or possibly a similar client base (Government, Rail etc could be considered).

The individual will able to communicate at all levels (internal director level, client manger's and directors) and be able to manage 2 director reports and oversee a team of QS's to ensure written and established procedures are adhered to without exception. The individual will need to take ownership of the procurement and supply chain management strategy and schedule (programme) and ensure that all elements are completed and processes are strictly followed (the robust management of this is critical).

They will be responsible for the management of the full tender process (individual strategies/packages plans, ITT process, negotiation, evaluations etc) for a project spend of circa £100m under multiple individual packages of works/subcontracts against all main categories of spend, materials and plant, subcontracts. Professional services etc.

Supply chain management duties will involve the due diligence and management of supplier competency assessments, management of supplier performance, supplier meetings, category management meetings with suppliers.

Rates between £400 - £500 per day
