PROCUREMENT MANAGER - SALES AND MARKETING - FMCG PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Our client, a large FMCG organisation, is looking to recruit the services of an experienced Procurement Manager, to lead and manage a team in the procurement of Sales and Marketing to deliver cost savings in line with business requirements. In addition, to increase the knowledge of the direct reports in the Marketing Procurement team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop comprehensive category strategies that support procurement and business objectives ensuring successful implementation by translating them into realistic, achieveable and actionable plans.
Build a high performing team through providing leadership, direct category knowledge and development support.
Give training and support for category management skills to enable cost leadership and innovation.
Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Negotiate and implement complex/high risk contracts, through a range of tendering processes to meet business requirements.
Implement supplier performance measures and continuous improvement plans to ensure quality and service expectations are met and exceeded.
Build strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure alignment of business objectives.
Provide regular market analysis, benchmark data and supplier evaluation, to support category planning and risk management.
Ensure compliance to Procurement policies and procedures.
Provide volume and price forecasts for budget and forecasting processes

Essential:

Proven strategic procurement background gained in FMCG/logistics/material management environment
Sourcing and category planning/management
Team management/leadership experience
