My client is looking for a Procurement/Outsourcing Manager to work on a large Divestment programme,

The successful candidate will have proven experience of

. Perform targeted end to end risk assurance reviews across the third party and outsourcing estate, including:
. Plan and scoping activities - Establish relationship with SME's to formulate scope and hotspots to investigate
. Perform detailed assessment activities - eg process and control walkthrough, risk analysis, business/IT interviews
. Reporting - socialise findings, obtain stakeholder validation and work with owners to define risk actions
. Monitor and Closure - work with owners to review supporting evidence to ensure it addresses risks appropriately
. Project Management - leading, managing and prioritising risk assurance timelines, driving timelines and escalating if bottlenecks occur
. Working collaboratively with other risk partners in the organisation to ensure that any risks and issues identified are validated and feedback incorporated
. Regularly meet key accountable stakeholders and provide robust and challenging insight on business risk and control processes
. Provide advice to the business on third party and outsourcing standards for achieving compliance
. Promote a strong control culture and awareness of outsourcing risk across Business Services
. Previous PROCUREMENT/SUPPLY CHAIN EXPERIENCE and/or project management skills gained within a Procurement environment
. Previous experience of conducting supplier assurance reviews and managing supplier risks associated with complex outsourcing agreements
. An understanding of commercial engagements and contract negotiations
. Deep understanding of banking business and operations especially retail banking (assets and liabilities) and exposure to commercial/corporate banking businesses and operations;
. Understand the principles of risk assessment and audit techniques
. Operational Risk experience
. Experience of building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders, as well as an ability to influence senior stakeholders and colleagues

Rate: Negotiable, dependent on experience
Start: ASAP, or may consider a January start for the right candidate
Location: Edinburgh
Duration: 6 months, with a view to extend
