PROCUREMENT MANAGER, PROCUREMENT, CONTRACT CYCLE, CIPS, LOCAL AUTHORITIES, CONTRACT

Procurement Manager required for an initial 12 Month contract to be based from my clients offices in North London.

The purpose of the role is to manage my client's procurement processes for a large project.

Key skills and experience:

Ability to save money and time, as well as following process
Practical and up to date knowledge of local authority procurement and category management
Letting a wide range of contracts delivering savings
Working with the UK Public Contracts Regulations
The entire contract cycle from developing options through to tendering, awarding and managing the contracts
Formulating and working with spend analysis data and presenting results in a spread sheet
Practical experience of managing supplier relationships and negotiating contract changes
The ability to flexibly manage a number of tenders at one time
Strong communication and influencing skills and Strong customer service skills
Understanding of the contribution that procurement can make to the economy, the environment and the equality agenda
Experience of working with E-procurement and e-tendering systems;
Minimum Level 4 Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or diploma, working towards full CIPS membership (Level 6 or advanced diploma - Essential
