PROCUREMENT MANAGER (FINANCIAL) - WEST LONDON

The role will be in the Corporate Procurement team, which has remit across the support functions of the company. The requirement is for a generalist, however, there is likely to be significant opportunities within the Properties and FM category as a result of our client's growing building infrastructure initiatives.

The appointee will work closely with the stakeholders across the business and have responsibility for managing and leading all commercial and contractual interaction with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist the Senior Procurement Manager and Team Lead - Corporate Procurement in the ongoing development of strategic sourcing capabilities.
* Understand current markets, future trends and suppliers' business and commercial strategies to assist procurement objectives.
* Create the sourcing strategy and take responsibility for the relevant portfolios re commercial interaction, meetings and negotiations with stakeholders and suppliers.
* Manage the entire procurement process: supplier identification, internal stakeholder identification, RFP, negotiation, SLAs, contract award and legal signoff, performance measurement, risk management, ongoing continuous improvement, etc.
* Develop processes and controls that ensure clear, auditable management of an extensive procurement programme, including developing business compliance mechanisms (E-procurement) and finance signoff of savings.
* Work closely with finance to understand budget cycle and assure sourcing requirements are met and savings are signed-off.
* Oversee management of applicable contracts, advising the business of upcoming renewals and acting accordingly.

KEY EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES

* Significant procurement experience preferably within a large blue chip organisation, including large consulting firms
* Experience in Indirect category areas - notably, Property and FM category areas.
* Experience of eProcurement and eSourcing tools.
* Degree qualified and ideally MCIPS qualified.
* Significant experience sourcing and implementing large-scale business change and outsourcing agreements (including initiatives that invoked TUPE)
* Sound analysis of data and issues to develop workable solutions on a timely basis.
* Analytical and financial understanding of the service cost models and lifetime cost of acquisition.
* Excellent numeracy skills and ability to reconcile spend to budgets and accounting procedures.
* Excellent contract negotiation skills in order to address issues with key suppliers at Exec and Board level.
* Appropriate general management skills to supervise project teams that consist of people without a direct reporting line in to procurement.
