THE CLIENT SEEKING THE PROCUREMENT MANAGER

My client, a leading asset management company based in London currently has a requirement for an experienced Procurement Manager or Procurement specialist to join their growing team. They are experiencing an exciting time of growth and it is an optimal time for an ambitious Procurement Manager to join the team and excel with the company.

YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AS THE PROCUREMENT MANAGER

- Deliver commercial sourcing and procurement initiatives
- Proactively managing new suppliers, services and service extensions in conjunction with business sponsors and other stakeholders to maximise the benefits sought;
- Undertaking supplier and contract management activities;
- Maintaining awareness and leveraging commercial opportunities globally;
- Liaising with Stakeholders;
- Maintaining awareness of industry developments and best practises.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE PROCUREMENT MANAGER POSITION

- Strong Procurement or Commercial Management experience
- Extensive procurement skills in medium to large financial organisation
- Strong team working skills, and ability to operate across teams, cultural and organisational boundaries;
- Strong negotiation, facilitation and commercial leadership skills;
- Experience of supplier selection via ITT/RFP/RFI/assessment centre activities;
- Experience of resolving disputes and English contract law concepts and contract term constructs;
- CIPS or equivalent qualification/experience.
- A background in Media is a bonus
