A leading public sector organisation based in Worcester is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a 3 month rolling contract.

You will be required to lead the development and management of the Procurement Strategy and Service. Qualifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Strategy) or equilivant or Public Sector experience will add weight to an application .

You will be responsible for Managing the Tendering/Procurement Service ensuring that the development and execution of tenders are legally compliant whilst achieving value for money. Tenders can vary in amount up to several million. The role will report to the Commercial Manager and will be Managing a small team including monitoring service and team performance.

It is essential that the post holder has expert knowledge of commissioning and procurement best practice, legislation and governance, including expert working knowledge of contract law of European procurement rules. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to establish positive relationships, whilst providing advice to all levels of the organisation.
