My local government client are looking for an interim Procurement Manager for a 12 month assignment based in London.

The successful candidate will be working within the councils commissioning division, which is responsible for Commissioning and Procuring adult social care and preventative services.

As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the successful leadership and delivery of the procurement and market development activities of the Commissioning and Procurement Team that will contribute to the achievement of the Council's objectives. Supporting the Head of Procurement, you will deliver a strategic approach to procurement and market development across the directorate, combined with developing new models of service in order to achieve cost savings targets.
You will also be responsible for leading an adult social care procurement team, consisting of 4 procurement officer.
The procurement and commissioning team have a number of upcoming procurement projects, and they currently have a home care project in flight. You will be responsible for providing leadership to the team, and supporting the delivery of these projects. You will also be responsible for providing a strategic approach to developing new ways to support the council in achieving their cost saving targets.
The successful candidate will be a procurement manager with experience of adult social care, transformation, and leading teams.

The assignment is initially for 12 months, and there is an option to work one day per week from home.
