Procurement Manager

Great opportunity for an experienced procurement specialist to join a high-end defence consultancy on a long-term programme.

The Procurement Manager is accountable for the effective setup and management of subcontracts, from supplier selection through to subcontract completion.

JOB ROLE

Supplier selection, subcontract setup, subcontract/supplier monitoring and management, monitoring subcontract performance and deliverables, subcontract closure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Capable of chairing/leading supplier meetings as required.

Working with legal counsel, reviews & supports negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, sub-contracts, purchase orders and other subcontract documents.

Supports the portfolio and project managers in commercial claims or disputes arising from project undertakings.

Negotiates directly with the suppliers' legal departments or other staff.

Monitors & controls procurements in conjunction with the Project and Portfolio Managers to ensure that all contractual obligations are met, including supplier audits.

Runs competitive tenders for subcontracts, contributes to supplier selection.

Takes the lead on updates and enhancements to procurement policies and procedures and application of best practice.
