Procurement Manager

My Client is looking for candidates that are bursting with bright ideas and ambitious to bring about change, you'll fit right into their dynamic buying team. They'll give you the opportunity to take a strategic approach to buying, to carry out complex bid negotiations, and to manage multiple projects.

A good appreciation of procurement processes, strategic sourcing and category management are essential skills for all roles. You'll also need the communication and negotiation skills to build productive relationships with customers and suppliers.

Experience of energy, utilities or regulated procurement would be helpful but is not essential, providing you are highly analytical and able to get to grips with new information quickly.

The project you will be working on has a value of £500m, involving on-shore & off-shore procurement.

Essential Experience Required:
- Strategic Sourcing experience essential
- Proven track record in construction/Offshore EPC Procurement
- Experience of LOGIC/FIDIC terms of contract would be a high advantage
- OJEU procurement experience desirable
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Beneficial to have - utilities experience, major construction projects
- Influencing without authority
- Strong communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Tenacious and challenging
- Experience of working with a disparate group of stakeholders
- Delivering training

Experience Required:
- 3-5 years experience required in a strategic sourcing requirement
- sourcing in a structured procurement environment
- formal negotiation
- Understanding of T tactical/operational procurement, quality assurance professionals or sales personal with tender completion experience.
