A Procurement Manager is required for a contract role based in Reading.

ROLE:

Reporting to the aligned Procurement Lead, the Procurement Manager will Manage the novation, right to manage, replacement, termination and paying agent activity of transferring 3rd party contracts as part of a major outsourcing opportunity with a leading UK organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

a) Manage the novation, right to manage, replacement, termination and paying agent aspects of all in scope 3rd party contracts as required
b) Working directly with the client to review, understand and interact with the applicable provider in order to mitigate risk.
c) General procurement related contractual support as required

Job Purpose & Accountability:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

*Demonstrable experience of drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts within Software, Hardware and Network related arenas.
*Strong negotiation skills and solid commercial acumen.
*Excellent written and oral communications skills.
*Experience working closely with sales and other professionals at all levels.
*Confident and robust, used to working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
*Team player who is also able to work independently with minimal supervision
*Broad working knowledge of software/hardware/services revenue recognition principles
*Contract Novation Process Expert
*Strong general Procurement Expertise
