Procurement Manager

5 x Procurement Manager roles - Birmingham or Leyland with travel across the UK

Our client requires a Procurement Manager to support strategic review of the clients supported supply chain

The role will require travel to the clients contracts across the UK to work alongside Commercial managers to negotiate terms for the clients supported supply chain. The Procurement Manager will be required to visit Birmingham once per week to liaise with the Project Manager

Specific Industry Skills required (Qualifications) CIPS, PRINCE2 or similar desirable

Role:

Working through a database of 900 suppliers, on a project to reduce this number. Contractors will be split up into categories of 'Supportive Local Partners' (turnover of less than 3m per year) and conventional subcontractors (more than 3m per year).

Working on a contract by contract basis, working with the subcontractor commercial teams, often face to face. Any commercial/QS experience is advantageous.

A lot of the work will be within the Utilities/Civils sectors. Any experience within the construction industry would also be advantageous.
