Currently recruiting for one of the leading employers in Maidenhead for a Senior Procurement Manager to join a large procurement team during a very busy time.

This is a 3 month contract position to cover on an interim basis so you need to be available for an immediate start. We are looking for a driven and creative senior Procurement Manager who can assess complex challenges, drive through strategies and deliver significant value across the business.

The Senior Procurement Manager a highly visible role which will develop and drive the Procurement strategy for key services and product categories of spend across the business. You will also play an active role in reshaping our Procurement department from the ground up.

THE ROLE:-

1 - Acting as a business partner to SMT members, their Directors and their direct reports in these categories, understanding business strategy and providing creative challenge and thought leadership which influences and supports business decision making.
2 - Working up stream to anticipate procurement challenges, ensuring the business is equipped with the right sourcing strategies to deliver the best possible commercial outcomes, ensuring clarity around areas such as risks, routes to market, resource commitments, supply market dynamics, competitive strategies and delivery plans.
3 - Maintaining a suite of clear and current category plans for all spend areas under their influence, wholly aligned to business objectives, which identify a pipeline of procurement opportunities.
4 - Using internal and external data, relationships and insight to formulate a clear point of view on business investment decisions (eg supply market reviews, business case assessments etc), stimulate creative conversations and encourage innovative thinking within the business.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

2 - Experience of executive/board level business partnering.
3 - Outstanding leadership skills, able to coach and support teams and team members alike.
4 - Exceptional engagement and relationship building abilities. Naturally accessible. Ability to communicate complex challenges in simple terms.
5 - Strategically minded and creative, able to translate a vision into clear methodical plans.
6 - Excellent problem solving and ability and knowledge to design, recommend and implement "best fit" sourcing strategies from multiple available options.
7 - Leadership experience of developing complex, business wide category, budget and supplier strategies.
8 - Significant experience of running substantive end to end Procurement projects within blue chip organisations.
9 - Deep experience on the Procurement basics - contract law, negotiation, market dynamics, commercial strategy, strategic sourcing, supply management
