Role Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Bristol
Duration: 18 months
Rate: £200 - £250 per day

Our Bristol-based client is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to manage the tendering process with potential suppliers, ensuring that our client adheres to the appropriate legal standards and best practices which apply to the entire spectrum of purchasing and contracting activities with third parties. You will maintain awareness of legal (national and international), departmental and Governmental policy and regulations.

You will ensure our client complies with legal, legislative and Government purchasing requirements, including OJEU, throughout the creation and issuing of invitations to tender and receipt and opening of responses.
*Promotes and follows best practice with regard to third party information security.
*Advises on policy and procedures covering identification of suppliers and issuing of tender documentation.
*Manages the tendering processes for IT Modernisation up to and including the evaluation and acceptance processes.
*Develops and maintains excellent relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders throughout the tendering processes.
*Uses knowledge of supplier markets to inform specifications.

Experience required
*Experience equivalent to CIPS Foundation Level 4 if qualification not held
*Direct experience of managing the tendering process for public sector IT contracts
*Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of current national and international legal standards in regard to purchasing and contracting in the public sector
*A substantial record of successfully delivering project results
*Sound and wide business knowledge of current and emerging purchasing practices
*Sound and wide business knowledge of current and emerging information and communications technologies
*Good attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
*Sound organisational and time management skills
