Procurement Manager

Spring Technology requires a Procurement Manager for our public sector client based in Leeds for 3 months (possible ext).

Assignment:
*The role is as a Procurement Business Manager, working in a small, focused team supporting the Procurement Director to proactively manage Procurement Strategy implementation, strategic information about the Procurement function and its contributions to business, budgets and business improvements.
*The role-holder also acts to support Procurement's relationships with and requirements of Departments and Ministers, involving the research and marshalling of information for timely submission of returns and replies to official correspondence.

Key Tasks:
*Produce appropriate and timely responses to Parliamentary Questions (PQs), Ministerial correspondence (MSUs), Freedom of Information requests (FOIs), Departmental/Cabinet Office and other ad hoc returns.
*Produce monthly, 'Pen Picture' summary for Procurement Management Group (PMG) about budget and Performance Plan progress, Knowledge Programme (KP) status, progress of workload within Procurement function, and latest data relating to the Transparency Agenda.
*Produce reports and prepare documentation to suit 'the Transparency Agenda' (requirement to publish certain tender and awarded contracts information). This work to contribute to implementation of a compliance plan in liaison with Operational colleagues, and therefore at least 80% of required publication per ongoing Cabinet Office requirements, research and produce data for the Strategic Management Information (SMI) package on quarterly basis (setting out aspects of Procurement function, work effected to support other Business Areas eg Major Projects, Network Delivery we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
