ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

Undertaking contractual negotiations. Overseeing departmental budget control. Developing and maintaining strategic contract management strategy, supporting the overall business strategy. Responsible for the production of appropriate tender documentation. Analysing procurement MI to identify ways of improving compliance with contracts, setting up reporting mechanisms to support this. Updating Intranet guidance and preparing reports for senior management.

OUTPUTS WOULD INCLUDE: - Defining the business need and drafting tender documentation in correct form and in conjunction with Commercial and Contract Management Directorate. securing successful contracts mentioned in section 1 - an analysis of the existing contracts, those required and the scope of work necessary - a specification - seeking approval for a proposed set of actions and activity and how the Executive and Board will be kept up to date on progress. - proposals for how key decisions will be taken - a timeline featuring milestones and deliverable dates - a plan setting out who will be engaged, why and how - a plan for transfer of skills and knowledge - and success measures - a risk log - plotting the risks and mitigation - a plan showing how each of the contracts arising will be managed going forwards - a lessons learned activity on completion
