Procurement Expert

Our client is looking for an experienced Procurement Expert to manage the company's supply of Network, IT and related Services for the group telecom operations.

The responsibilities and duties include strategising to find cost-effective deals and suppliers and best ways to cut procurement expenses and reduce long term risk. The specific role includes supporting the groups Asian operations (Indonesia and Philippines) and travelling to these countries will be necessary. The role is based in Oslo where presence is required if not travelling to the local operations.

Responsibilities

Revise and use sourcing strategies
Prepare coordinate and lead RFP projects from start to end.
Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous pricing, terms and conditions
Examine and improve existing contracts
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
Control spend and build a culture of long-term savings and value creation

Requirements

Proven working experience as a procurement expert for a telecom operator including both contract management and performing RFP projects.
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques needed to work independently and deliver results as per assignments.
Talent in negotiations and networking
Drives strategies and decision-making on procurement initiatives and likes to work with numbers
Technical understanding in general and of Telecom equipment in particular
Experience in collecting and analysing data
Strong leadership capabilities
Likes to work in international teams
Willingness to travel
