For our customer we are looking for a Procurement Consultant - Specialist (F/M) in IT Services.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is a matrix organization using a Commodity
Procurement and Buying Center model which is built on a foundation of strong procurement
and a shared service center concept.
Within GPO’s Commodity Procurement, the Commodity Procurement Facility Management team negotiates and manages all contracts in close collaboration with the business owner,
global legal, global controlling, etc.
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Consultant with a strong background in global
Procurement and Facility Management. This role will be responsible for procurement of
Facility management projects and services in Bangalore / India
The ideal resource must have demonstrated experience in global procurement, partnering with key stakeholders and communication of strategic initiatives.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Understand Facility Management’s key requirements
• Collaborate with the wider supplier sourcing team to produce, implement, and support sourcing strategies that ensure best value for Global Facility Management
• Pro-actively conduct market analysis / benchmarking, track market trends and manage supplier performance.
• Develop and manage supplier portfolios and undertake supplier negotiations through relationship-building to maximize business benefits.
• Conduct solicitations for and execute against high-dollar, high-risk, complex and global purchases.
• Identify opportunities for increased competitive bidding, smarter supplier relationships and more efficient procurement processes.
• Conduct competitive bidding using a multi step sourcing process and utilization of e-auctions
• Negotiation of complex agreements with vendors
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• University degree preferably in Business Administration, engineering or a related field.
Advance degree in a related field or equivalent preferred.
• Strong organization, negotiation and communication skills
• Strong Project Management skills
• Excellent knowledge in procuring Facility Management services, processes and tools
• Strong analytical skills and supportive attitude
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate into purchasing requirements
• Must be proficient in spoken/written in English
WORK EXPERIENCE
5+ years professional experience in business development, facility purchasing, facility engineering
• Deep facility management experience in a global setting
• Proven ability in managing complex supplier contracts and partnerships
• Possesses proven abilities in negotiating a variety of facility related topics along with new build, renovation, facility services and maintenance agreements.
• Experience in SAP R3 / SRM system preferred
• Experience in Microsoft Office
