Procurement - Category Manager, IT Sourcing, Bank, Brussels

BACKGROUND:

You will join the bank's Procurement Department which is built around Category Managers and Buyers, supported by Market Analysts. The objective is to optimise long term business value and ensure effective cost/spend management.

TASKS:

- As contract manager you will be responsible for the implementation of the best sourcing approach for a variety of products, categories and services within their assigned domain for the whole bank:
- Define and implement a sourcing approach;
- Manage contracts in various spend categories through a network of suppliers:
- Support Procurement team in developing and implementing the sourcing strategies.

Monitor and challenge, both the internal demand as well as the external supply market. - Share your expertise and apply best business and procurement practices.
- Contribute to the procurement methodology
- Strong negotiation skills;
- Understanding of contract and legal terminology.

LANGUAGE: English (essential) plus French or Dutch (not essential but nice to have).
