Procurement Category Lead

Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting for a Procurement Category Lead for a 10 month contract based in Hamilton. This role itself will involve being responsible for all aspects of the procurement of a new command and control station. It will also require the development of a procurement strategy and identification of the customer's needs, as well as leading procurement's contribution to stakeholder engagement.

You will be:

* Working on the full end to end OJEU procurement exercise worth £15 million
* Responsible for the tender process and selection of suppliers
* Managing and developing procurement plans
* Working effectively with internal and external stakeholders

This role will require the development of a procurement strategy and identification of the customer's needs, as well as leading procurement's contribution to stakeholder engagement. It would be well suited to a Procurement Specialist with experience in the public sector and requires supporting, planning and leading significant projects.
