PROCUREMENT OFFICER/ANALYST/BUYER/CATEGORY MANAGER - COVENTRY - 6 MONTHS

Procurement Officer/Procurement Analyst - Coventry. Public Sector: to support the re-tendering process for the data and telephone lines and a review of current contracts, processes and procedures in relation to procurement.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support and administer the complete procurement process in line with local and national policy and EU law.

Advise and support customers on all elements of procurement.
-

Advise on the most appropriate procurement process to meet requirements.
-

Achieve best value procurement within tight time-scales.
-

Ensure compliance with internal procedures and EU directives.
-

Assist with other projects as required by the business.
-

Ensure all procurement activity is undertaken adopting procurement best practice, underpinned by effective project management and control.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED;

-

Undertaking of tendering and contracting activity including experience in undertaking tendering within the Public Procurement Regulations including OJEU adverts award criteria

Experience in procurement/contracting environment
-

Project Management of end to end procurements
-

Experience of managing projects within defined timescales and ability to prioritise and reprioritise

Experience in managing the tender process' from initiation to contract award
-

Experience in drafting, developing and redesigning tender documents
-

Analysis of data using Excel spread sheets
-

Experience of corporate governance in relation to public sector purchasing
-

Experience in the use of e- tendering systems
