Procurement Associate

SUMMARY

- The Procurement Associate (PA) position works with other Procurement Associates, and reports into the Head of VMRD Procurement & Contract Management (PCM). PAs work closely with Category Sourcing Managers (CSMs) and Contract Managers (CM), as part of the full PCM team.
- Responsible for creating purchase orders (POs) in support of Veterinary Medicine Researchobtaining pricing/quotes from vendors; in-depth issue resolution, etc.

- Excellent soft skills and customer service skills are required.
- Ability to trouble shoot problems related to a wide range of issues: non-payment to vendors; PO processing; tracking orders
- Ability to learn new things quickly
- Excellent computer skills are required.
- Flexibility to assume different responsibilities as needed when workload or resources change.
- High proficiency in MS Office Desired
- SAP Experience; Ariba
- Procurement Experience
- No degree required but Associates or Bachelor's preferred
- Must have impeccable communication skills (written and verbal)
- Must operate with utmost professionalism with peers, managers, customers, and vendors
- Experience with understanding financial coding desired
