Procurement Assistant - Entry Level Job

PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT - ENTRY LEVEL needed for a CONTRACT opportunity for Yoh's client in Pittsburgh, PA.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Administration of the Heinz BPCS, SAP and supporting systems
- Managing data to ensure efficient interaction with buyers, R&D, Quality Control, factories, payable teams and suppliers.
- Entry level position that will give an introduction to the procurement department.
- Manage all stages of Purchase contract admin from development of PO's, monthly maintenance and closure of PO's in SRM, ECC and BPCS
- Problem solving/analysis with Buyer and Supplier base when contract, invoicing or system issues arise.
- Identify PO trends and execute corrective action
- Communication with stakeholders on SRM and eSourcing platform issue resolution
- Prepare bid data for upcoming Contracts in accordance with Contract expiration dates
- /Monitor Contract run-out dates and work with buyers to ensure complete PO's are in place to meet the Factory's ordering requirements
- Monthly analysis of Supplier discount term performance vs. plan
- Expedite materials from Suppliers to meet factory production schedules

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- The ideal candidate would be someone with a bachelor's degree and two to three (2-3) years of experience working in an office environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Customer Service orientation and mindset
- Quick learner and drive towards change management and continuous improvement
- General understanding of Procurement/ERP Systems (BPCS, SAP, Oracle)

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:
- Desired Knowledge of software applications and how they are used in procurement and the financial environment.
- Desired Knowledge of procurement procedures and Sox compliance.
- Desired Familiarity with applicable accounting principles.
