PROCUREMENT AND FLEET LEAD BUSINESS PARTNER/TEAM LEAD

SALARY - £42K + benefits Pro Rata

DURATION - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

LOCATION - Stockton on Tees

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Procurement and Fleet Lead Business Partner to lead our Procurement and Fleet team working with one of our key Public Sector clients, Cleveland Police. This is a 6 month maternity cover contract in a well-established and fully functioning team. What we are looking for is an experienced Procurement and Fleet specialist to provide strategic direction and maintain the current high standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive procurement experience ideally from a Public Sector environment and also have experience managing Fleet resources as well as a proven team leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Developing and leading the Procurement and Fleet Team.
- Providing expertise and knowledge to the client with regards to Procurement and Fleet.
- Providing strategic support, advice and solutions to senior management within Steria and Cleveland Police.
- Ensuring service levels and performance targets are achieved.
- Responsibility as part of the PSBS management team.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Extensive and proven knowledge and skills in Procurement process eg scoping, briefing, tendering etc.
- Strong Commercial awareness.
- Experience with complex accounting and budget forecasting.
- Knowledge and experience of risk management.
- Experience of implementing cost saving initiatives.
- Line management skills.
- Communications skills at all levels of the organisation.
- Knowledge of Fleet Management and Service Delivery

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Public Sector experience
- Experience handling large Fleet contracts
- Membership of recognised professional body

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR UK POLICE SC CLEARANCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION AND NEED TO HOLD A CLEAN, VALID UK DRIVING LICENSE.

The successful candidates will be required to obtain UK security clearance.
