Process Technician Job

PROCESS TECHNICIAN needed for a SIX (6) MONTHS PLUS CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client-Varian/Applied Materials located in Gloucester, MA.

THE BIG PICTURE:

Our client needs a weekend Shift Process Technician for the first 6-12months, then moving towards 2nd shift. However, this position must be flexible as the requirement from customer is 24x7 available to support. Shift is 8am to 5pm weekends Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Operate SEM, Dual Beam FIB, EDS, and STEM equipment to characterize wafer and devices in support of AMAT's applications development, field escalation, customer demonstration, and tool development.
- Perform imaging and sample preparation techniques using the best known methods (BKM) developed by the lead SEM engineer.
- Monitor and maintain the equipment through SPC tracking established by the lead engineer.
- Assist with validation tests for new installed equipment in the lab.
- Analyze and address SPC issues on daily basis, and respond to SPC out of control issues.
- Keep the Lead technician/Lead engineer updated on tool related performances and issues.
- Thoroughly document all maintenance and job performed in established logbook and tracking program.
- Work closely with engineers to understand their requirement. Report the results to internal and external customers in both written and oral communication forum under supervision of the lead engineer and lab manager.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum two (2) years of the hands-on experience in DIB, EBSD, SEM, EDS/EELS, STEM, and TEM.
- Bachelor degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or Chemical Engineering; or Associated degree with Semiconductor industry experience of minimum 2 years.
- Fab-experience or Failure analysis background is a plus.
- Demonstrated strong analytical & problem solving skills. Ability to work in a small team environment, and to work in highly dynamic environment interfacing multiple functional areas.
- Good in communication skills and strong motivation for customer support.
