Introduction:
The project is developing a new inkjet printing process where we need to understand and tackle print quality artefacts. This is done by root cause analysis, designing and performing experiments. Many physical aspects are involved in the printing process.

Position's main tasks:
The main task is to make decompositions and find root causes of banding artefacts in prints. This means making prints, developing test charts, designing experiments and understanding the physics of the inkjet printing process. This person should know (or learn quickly) how to make relevant testcharts and tooling. Furthermore, the person should design and perform experiments to understand the phenomena and generate options to improve the macro-uniformity and discuss the results with the relevant stakeholders in the project. The person needs to be strong in experimental physics and should also be able to make models. The person should work independently.

Required area of education: Physics, preferable fluid dynamics

Professional skills:
- background in physics, experimental theory and modelling.
- able to communicate and discuss results.
