Process Manager

DESCRIPTION:

A highly successful Financial Services firm has an exciting new opportunity for a Process Manager to join their Edinburgh Operations.

This is a fixed term, salaried role and will not be open to day rate consultancy firms.

This would be an excellent role for a newly qualified Sigma practitioner looking for their first opportunity to apply their skills.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provision of process management support to teams across our clients' Finance function as part of wider projects
- Processes continually improved to maximise efficiency, improve the control environment and control costs
- Ensure Key contacts and stakeholders in business units communicated and liaised with effectively
- Ensuring Project documentation is maintained and signed off appropriately
- Ensuring approved project management standards and best practice are followed and adhered to
- Managing compliance with all aspects of the risk framework
- Contributing to year end, half year and quarterly reporting processes
- Production of external financial documentation
- Ensuring direct reports supervised and supported as required to ensure production of high quality outputs (Small team of 3)

CORE SKILLS: 

- An effective written and verbal communicator
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint and basic use of MS Project and Visio)
- Ability to work well under pressure, showing a flexible approach to work

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL

- Process/change management experience with at least six sigma Green Belt accreditation (or similar)
- Project Management skills and experience as a Prince 2 Practitioner (or similar)
- Excellent planning skills and high level of organisation and discipline to meet specific target dates and objectives

DESIRABLE

- Graduate or graduate calibre
- Financial services experience
