SCOPE OF PROJECT:

- Process Improvement initiatives using LEAN/Six Sigma approach (some Kaizen Events possible) for Financial Services Operation. Possibly 2 of these type projects.
- In addition, the contractor will be responsible for mapping operational processes associated with the Enterprise Shared Services Process Directory initiative. This will require interviewing SMEs to obtain process information and then documenting those processes in the ProVision software.
- The contractor may provide assistance in a number of projects that I have assigned to the department.
- No PMP certification required, however, some project management experience is needed.

STAGE OF PROJECT: This position is a backfill for an FTE who is assigned to a special project. Some work is already underway and other work is just beginning.

TOP DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Schedule meetings with key stakeholders
- Facilitate meetings with a published agenda
- Document meeting minutes with decisions made and action item assigned
- Perform process mapping
- Plan for process improvement events
- Develops and delivers quality and process improvement training modules
- Coaches and mentors others leading improvement projects

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

- 4 year degree or equivalent experience, Masters in Business or Org Dev is desired
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification and familiar with Lean methodology
- Experienced in leading large scale projects working across multiple functional groups
- Project management experience (certification is a bonus)
- Change management experience (certification is a bonus)
- Proficient in MS Office products (Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel are a must, Project is desired)
- Extensive business process improvement skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in statistics software and able to analyze large amounts of data
- Excellent verbal, written, persuasion and selling skills as well as strong presentation and leadership skills
- Ability to work with senior management and with functional and site leaders to identify, develop and deploy process improvements

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

- Process Mapping (with Value Stream Mapping emphasis)
- Experience managing LEAN and/or Six Sigma process improvement initiatives
- Creating project plans
