Process Engineer - Welding

Yoh has 12 month contract opportunity for a PROCESS ENGINEER -WELDING to join our client in Erie, PA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the execution of approximately 65 PQRs (Procedure Qualification Reports) for the various weld processes used.
- Support the Lead Weld Engineer with process documentation, data collection, and procedural revision as required.
- This person will be collecting samples of welded items and will analyze these for strength, quality etc., coordinating reports and documenting the results.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (preferably BSME).
- Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on welding, preferably a process or quality engineering role.
- Familiarity with PQRs.
- Solid knowledge of welding processes/procedures.
- WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
- AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
