PROCESS ENGINEER - MANUFACTURING - DORSET - 17-20 PH. - 6-12 MONTHS

Luckily for you, that's what we have here. A Manufacturing Process Engineer position has opened that:
a) is paying a competitive hourly rate of up to around 20 ph.
b) is in a great, seaside location
c) is at the innovation end of the wedge in a very high-tech field

This is the perfect opportunity if you re available now, your current contracts coming to an end, or you re currently Perm considering contract.

KEY SKILLS

- Relevant Engineering Academic background, eg. HNC, ideally in Manufacturing or Electro/Mechanical discipline
- Provable background within a Process Engineering function
- Strong Mechanical Technical knowledge, esp. around Mechanical Processes
- Track Record of driving Continuous Improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies advantageous

ROLE

You'll be given the opportunity to implement appropriate Techniques, Processes and Procedures to evaluate production metrics that will lead to process improvement activities, to ensure a robust and efficient manufacturing environment.

- Create, implement, and monitor key performance indicators and metrics within the Manufacturing processes
- Lead Continuous Improvement activities that will enhance manufacturing process performance, reliability and quality.
- Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.
- Produce and maintain production documentation as required, to ensure products are built to the correct quality within the build process.
- Support Production in resolving manufacturing or supplier issues and first line diagnostic support
- Where applicable, generate project plans for the operational aspect of a project, drive cross-functional groups to ensure tasks are managed to completion.
- Review and approve BOM accuracy and structure and become owner of BOMs through the design life cycle.
- Through appropriate testing and use of testing protocols and procedures, ensure new or modified items or assemblies are fit for purpose' and in line with overall design requirements.
- Review and implement Drawing Change Requests as determined by the iDCR process.
