Process Engineer - Lean Manufacturing Job

PROCESS ENGINEER needed for a six (6) month contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Grove City, PA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Able to Solve problems, set direction, eliminate waste in processes, and own visual management process.
- Engineering background and have manufacturing experience.
- Lean Six Sigma

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Assist in providing direction and material support for assigned production team.
- Assist teams in driving Lean Vision by participating in Action Workouts and utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to improve processes.
- Assist team in business plan and support of business commitments.
- Provide technical support to the Value Stream.
- Assist team with any other projects and business initiatives as they arise

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor Degree in Logistics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Operations Management or High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of prior work experience in a manufacturing facility
- Kanban, Six Sigma background, Lean methodologies
- Prior experience in the application of Lean Methodology, Lean Deployment relative to material flow, storage, work station optimization
- Ability to work in a fast pace, high intensity environment, while spending the majority of time on the shop floor
- Strong coaching, facilitation, and team building skills
- Strong process improvement skills using lean problem solving tools
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings/specification and manufacturing processes
- Basic knowledge of safety agency regulations
