Process Engineer

One of the largest electronics and industrial engineering firms is currently seeking 4 Process Engineers in the Houston, TX, area with a focus on process safety management with particular emphasis in the area of pressure relief systems. These are 6 month contract positions with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only, no per diem is available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Determine the limitations and capabilities of process units and their pressure relief systems and recommend actions or mitigation plans
- Work directly with end users on technical aspects of the projects and therefore must be able to communicate technical requirements and deliverables clearly and concisely
- Identify overpressure scenarios for various types of process equipment
- Calculate relief loads for various types of overpressure scenarios
- Evaluate pressure relief device capacities

REQUIREMENTS

- Experience in process system design and analysis
- Experience in the area of upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas processes, including refining (a plus)
- Proven experience in common refinery and chemical processes is also desirable
- Desired experience includes pressure relief device sizing, relief header and flare analysis, risk mitigation, etc
