Process Development Associate II

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE II to join our client in West Greenwich, RI.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsibilities will be accomplished through a combination of lab experimentation, experimental design and document generation.
- Execution of bench scale experimentation using 1-7L glass bioreactors, 10-50 L disposable bioreactors and shake flasks
- using analytical equipment including the CEDEX, YSI, BGA and NOVA systems
- Assisting in documentation, review, analysis, and interpretation of scientific data and results.
- In addition, the individual will assist with media compounding and treatment as well as assist with the general upkeep of the laboratory.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS/MS. in Engineering (Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering) or Biological or Life Sciences (Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry) or a related discipline, with one to three (1-3) years of experience in upstream process development.
- The successful candidate will apply mammalian cell culture expertise to aid in development, technology transfer, process troubleshooting, investigations and process characterization for cell culture processes.
- The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work in a strong team environment.
- Expected to demonstrate a science based approach and the ability to focus on results.
