Process Compliance Engineer

Our client in Hampshire, currently has an opportunity for a PROCESS COMPLIANCE ENGINEER with practical experience of Aerospace DO-254 process implementation aligned to at least Design Assurance Level (DAL) B in the context of the standard. This position works within a small to medium sized technical team of power electronics, analog electronics and control specialists reporting to the Engineering manager - Electronics Products, supporting the larger engineering department in this specialist discipline.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Excellent organizational & communication skills are essential as the role will involve coordinating with project team members working mostly on motor controls projects for the aerospace industry, deploying process, auditing and implementing timely, effective and sustainable corrective actions where required.
- Responsible to Engineering Manager, Electronics Products for project and task execution to plan
- On time delivery of assigned tasks
- Development of documentation, processes, reports and presentations to schedule
- Deployment of process complete with procedures, monitoring and assurance
- Engineering Degree or equivalent work experience in the area of complex electronics

hardware design for the aerospace industry, in particular DO-254 process  Management

- Engineering degree or equivalent with strong process development skills
- Working knowledge of DO-254 standard with proven track record
- Knowledge of DOORS requirements management tool
- Knowledge of ClearQuest problem reporting tool
- Knowledge of Matlab or similar digital prototyping tools
- Communications skills - both verbal and written with ability to generate and communicate clear status reports
- Strong project management skills with good prioritization and time management

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Working knowledge of aerospace standard DO-254 is a requirement. Additionally, knowledge of DOORS, ClearQuest and Matlab/Simulink Software tools is expected.
- Carries out the DO-254 compliance management function for a DAL B Project.
- Produces the project documentation required to support compliance at DAL B.
- Defines the DO-254 process for the project team
- Carries out the audit function to assure and ensure process compliance with the published documentary procedures.
- Uses DOORS Requirements Management Tl, ClearQuest Problem Reporting Tool and   Auto-Tagging of requirements (MATLAB).

- Requirements management.
- Design For Six Sigma (DFSS)
