Prison Nurse

Precedo Healthcare Services provide Care and Nursing Services to many privately and publicly owned clients throughout Yorkshire.

We are currently seeking 3 full time, Band 5 Registered Nurses to work within one of our HM Prison Service clients in Leeds. These are a challenging, yet extremely reward roles.

Working within the primary care department, you will assist the healthcare team in providing a considerable range of care services include asthma, diabetes and epilepsy clinics, GP sessions, triage clinics, health screening, phlebotomy, mental health assessments, vaccinations, smoking cessation, sexual health and substance misuse help.

These positions are to start ASAP and are long-term temporary vacancies (minimum 6-9 months). Please take in to account that prison clearance is required before you will be able to commence work. This clearance typically takes 4-6 weeks to obtain.

Hours of work are full time, on a rota basis (including weekends) and paid overtime is available. Rates of pay start are £16.00 per hour and increase when working in the evening and at weekends.

Successful applicants must
•Be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK
•Have at least 6 months post qualification experience
•Be able to provide Occupational Health documents (please contact us for further information)
•Be willing to undertake a DBS Check (previously CRB)
•Hold current registration with the NMC
•Be able to provide satisfactory references

Successful applicants must also be computer literate and have sound communication skills. Confidence, initiative and a calm approach are essential in this role, as is the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
