Prior Authorization Nurse Job

PRIOR AUTHORIZATION NURSE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in San Leandro, CA.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Managed Care Experience
- Prior Authorization Experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Implement and maintain authorizations and referral processes
- Process authorizations, benefits verification, inpatient coordination, departmental programs and activities
- Review all referrals and authorizations
- Provide support to case management staff
- Coordinate all medical services operations such as utilization and care management activities

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Current California RN license OR Current California LVN license
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing
- Two to five (2-5) years of experience in a managed care setting
- Previous experience in performing prior authorization, utilization management or case management
- Strong working knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal guidelines
- Computer literate in Microsoft Applications (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Exchange)
