Printer Support Engineer - Manufacturing/Automotive

JOB PURPOSE

The Printer Ops team member's job is to support the deployment/configurations/break fixes of printers/MFPs/solutions and take over management of existing devices to ensure smooth performance of all print devices. Printer Ops team member will work with various vendors to manage Installations, Moves, Adds, Changes & Disposal activity and break fixes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- MANAGE A PRINT ENVIRONMENT THROUGH THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY.
- MANAGING PRINTER OPS QUEUE USING REMEDY.
- Place orders and monitor orders/shipments to ensure delivery according to agreed SLA.
- Manage pickup & disposal of old devices from end user's premise.
- Handle small printer moves as per user's request using provided equipment.
- Provide interface between end-users and vendors to improve/maintain customer satisfaction.
- Develop continual process improvements within Managed Services structure including proactive consumables management.
- Manage service requests including escalations through to problem resolution.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- EXPERIENCE OF WORKING AND SUPPORTING IT SYSTEMS IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT IS DESIRABLE
- PLOTTER PRINTER INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
- Manufacturing and Automotive Industry Knowledge
- Basic PC, Windows and Networking Skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server
- Basic software applications knowledge
- Should be able to logon to the applications, check log files, handle monitoring tools etc.
- Sound administrative skills. Well-developed management skills.
- Strong analytical and database skills. Working knowledge across MS Office tools like Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must hold a valid driving license.
- Ability to work in shifts (8.5 shift pattern) including weekends( in rare instances)
