Printed Circuit Board Designer

This position involves Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout and routing of advanced technology circuit board designs to IPC standards. Signal speeds in excess of 10Gb/s requiring deep experience with differential routing and BGA breakout techniques. Back drilling and complex pad stacks. Layout and routing is highly rule driven. Would work on component placement, power circuit and plane layout, high speed differential routing, and standard single ended medium rate signal routing. Would also be responsible for design output generation and validation. Will work individually and in Tandem with other layout engineers under the direction of the lead circuit designer.

SKILLS:

Must be experienced and proficient in the Mentor Graphics DxDesigner/Expedition 2007 tool set. 5 years minimum of experience with this tool set. Experience in using the Expedition Reuse capabilities and working in PCB Extreme layout environment a big plus.

- Areas of expertise required: a) Routing of multi-layer, fine pitch designs using 10Gb/s differential signals and large BGAs. b) HDI techniques.
- Areas of expertise desired: a) Expedition Design Reuse component creation and maintenance. b) Via backdrilling and generating drill file output for this technique c) power plane layout d) component footprint library creation and maintenance. e) creating Expedition Automation scripts f) RF signal layout.
- Must have an A.S. and 7 to 10 Years of experience
