Print Production Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

The Print Production Manager position is a key role in managing the interfaces between the graphic design, photographic and print teams within the Imagery and Print Department. As Print Production Manager, the individual will be responsible for ensuring that customer jobs are collated and allocated to the right teams, at the right time, ensuring that complex multi-threaded work is managed from start to finish, meeting customer deadlines and delivered to standard, They will also be responsible for working on a number of key projects, including environmental sustainability improvements and workspace planning. The individual will also maintain local budgets, keeping track of spend, ensuring it meets profiled targets.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Manage workloads of the teams.
- Maintain work tracking system.
- Hold and manage daily production meetings.
- Quality assure job production.
- Work with head of department to ensure the workspace is fit for purpose.
- Act as owner of environmental policy; achieve sustainability targets.
- Responsibility for the daily running of the department, managing all customer jobs through their life cycle.
- Produce high and low level reports as required.
- Create and manage print production schedules.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

- Work experience within print of publishing company of at least 5 years (essential)
- Working knowledge of Government/secure print industry (desired)
- Need good knowledge and experience of the production life cycle end to end.
- Good communication skills due to working with all 3 teams and being the main point of contact for them.
- Good awareness of commercial activity and good examples of managing budgets effectively within the print productions to publishing process.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Exposure to print industry and/or magazine publishing (essential)
- Must have Adobe software knowledge and experience (essesntial)
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills with a positive attitude.
