Job description
Purpose of the role is to carry out the professional duties of a Senior Planning Officer; to be responsible for a caseload of major applications.
Responsibilities
- To lead a caseload of major applications, within set timescales, including carrying out necessary site visits.
Qualifications/Knowledge
- A planning degree recognised by the Royal Town Planning Institute.
- Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
- Knowledge dealing with Major Planning applications and section 106 agreements and sound working knowledge of Development Management, including local, regional and national policies and priorities.
Experience
- Some experience of working with public and private sector agencies and in particular Homes and Communities Agency (HCA)
- Proven experience with Major Planning applications
