Principle Finance Officer/PFO/AAT/ACCA

IQ Public sector are looking for a Principle Finance Officer to join a public sector client based in the Brighton area. This is an excellent fixed term contract opportunity for an A.A.T (level 4) qualified accounting technician. This varied role will include ensuring due diligence regarding financial plans for capital financial performance, managing, monitoring and reporting on financial performance, providing financial forecasts and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, stakeholders and partners. The successful candidate will also be expected to establish and quantify financial risks and pressures in current and future years.

Essential Criteria:

*At least AAT qualified or working towards qualification (to level 4) or equivalent.
*Manage the clients assets register, systems/bank reconciliation processes, to commission and test the development of the SAP financial modules on behalf of customers, and to support the section/customers in the use of SAP.
*Experienced in the use of common computer applications, including Excel, Word; plus some experience of SAP accounting systems would be desirable.
*Experience in working with and/or supporting senior officers within organisations.
*Strong communication skills, written and verbal, able to write correspondence to senior level managers.
*Experience of budget monitoring, financial planning and year end accounting procedures.
*Ideally candidates would have some public sector background; county council or government.
