Principal Technical Safety Engineer, Oil and Gas

Seeking technical safety Engineers and Consultants at Principal tenure level to work in our office in central Aberdeen and also potentially with embedded teams at client offices. Exceptional candidates with established networks will also be considered for our Glasgow office. Successful candidates will join a growing technical safety consulting team in Aberdeen, part of a 100+ strong risk consulting organisation across three UK offices, with an additional 200 engineers in other parts of the UK business and with links to further colleagues in Europe, Norway and the rest of the world. Responsibilities: You will join a strong team of fellow-Principals, Seniors and Consultants/Engineers working in cross-functional consulting teams involved in project delivery and project management as well as building client relationships. Principals contribute to service development with the opportunity to work on industry initiatives with external organisations to create novel solutions. The Principal Consultant role also involves developing other consultants through project management activity and coaching. We are interested in people with the ability to deliver services within some or all of the following areas: - Offshore and onshore technical safety & risk engineering studies. - Safety Case development and management, including management systems aspects. - Operational safety engineering support - Technical safety audits - Process safety management - Asset risk consultancy Qualifications: - A relevant technical degree qualification (e.g. Engineering / Sciences / Mathematics). - Significant experience in the Upstream Oil and Gas sector. - Alternatively: similar experience in downstream Process sector or Nuclear Industry with transferable skills. - Good knowledge of systems and services in safety / risk engineering. - Previous risk consulting experience is also an advantage.
