Principal Systems Engineer x2

PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER X 2 - IP NETWORKING, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING, REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT AND DOORS

Two Principal Systems Engineers with IP Networking, Systems Engineering, Requirements Management and Doors experience are required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Basildon.

This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK defence business.

OVERVIEW OF THE PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE

General Systems Engineering across all life cycle but with particular emphasis on requirements management and developing technical solutions based around combining multiple sensors systems including EO and Radar.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER

- Self-motivated, ability to work under own initiative seeking guidance where appropriate.
- IP Networking knowledge/experience essential
- Electro Optics and/or Radar knowledge/experience desirable
- General Systems Engineering skills - full life cycle development, classical 'V' model workflow with particular emphasis around Requirements Management.
- Requirements Management using DOORS
- Ability to communicate effectively both internally and with customer
- Team player
- Ability to potentially travel overseas for periods of up to 2 weeks.

The role is based in Basildon, Essex - commutable from Colchester, Chelmsford, Harlow, Enfield, Romford, Grays, Gravesend, Gillingham and Southend with excellent access from London
