SENIOR/PRINCIPAL SOLUTION ARCHITECT: AUTOMOTIVE

To facilitate further growth (global coverage/support new product and service introduction to all 10 regions), the GCH is looking for highly experienced and motivated Solution Architects in the key domain of Automotive. The candidate should have relevant industry knowledge and play a part in further expanding the Automotive business by getting deeply involved in understanding the business needs of customers with view to supporting solution sales and deliveries within the areas of Connected Vehicles.

In this role you will work centrally and will be part of a global team of highly skilled industry experts within the domain of Automotive with a high level of interaction with automotive OEM, tier-1 suppliers, telematics service suppliers, mobile operators and internal teams. Critical pre-requisite of these highly visible and senior roles is a strong business acumen supported by deep technical knowledge and organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Take the lead SA role in pre-sales customer engagements by analysing, planning and designing comprehensive and complex technical solutions addressing customer needs within internal portfolio for Connected Vehicles.
- In close co-operation with the Regional Customer Units, address the business needs of the Automotive industry, leading to sales of complete solutions, comprising hardware, software and services from internal as well 3PP partners.
- Establish and maintain contacts with key decision makers in the customer organization on C-level in order to contribute to higher sales volumes.
- Support the regional Automotive teams to drive the growth of the sales funnel by identifying, defining and qualifying opportunities. This also includes driving the reuse and replication of global offering assets.
- To proactively seek out new business opportunities in ongoing delivery projects and existing customer engagements for continuous upselling and follow-on sales.
- Together with the Regional/CU representatives to proactively drive the strategic customer dialogue on long, medium and short term topics to build trust and business partnership generating new sales opportunities.
- Contribute to best practice knowledge sharing and knowledge management in the Industry & Society global community for Automotive. This entails actively training and educating in the areas of the service portfolio for Connected Vehicles.
- Contribute to the global building of Automotive portfolio assets as required
- Identify and establish relations with Automotive strategic partners
- Monitor market needs, trends, standardisation, regulatory, the business landscape, ecosystem players and competitors.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

INDUSTRY COMPETENCE & EXPERIENCE

- Strong knowledge and experience in the Automotive domain is a must.
- Minimum 8 years of experience and proven personal track record of technical sales support and delivery in the ICT professional services business focusing on Connected Vehicles.
- Acting at a Senior level for a minimum of 3 years
- Established personal network within customers and partners within the Automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of IT concepts, architectures and ecosystem around Telematics, Infotainment and eCall.
- Knowledge of communication concepts in the M2M-domain (eg eUICC)
- Solid understanding of customers technical requirements, regulatory environments and major stakeholders and requirements in area of Connected Vehicles.
- Knowledge in enterprise frameworks such as eTOM, ITIL and TOGAF is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience from an ability to analyse and translate customer needs into concrete technical solutions resulting in revenue offerings.
