Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced Principal Signal Processing Algorithm Expert for our clients RF group in Stockholm,Kista to take on the challenge guiding our clients towards 5G.
You will work in an innovative team to perform pre development of future cellular base station transmitters focussing on research and development of the next generation high power transmitters, low level power MIMO transmitters and RF sub systems. the right candidate will be responsible for driving his/her own algorithm projects and designing novel Digital Signal Processing compensation algorithm with the purpose to push the limits and to provide extreme performance and intelligence to the clients products. you will work as an expert and will be expected to provide technical leadership, mentoring and functional guidance on projects, as well as technical support to other projects on as as-needed basis. Part of this role will include assisting in setting up and to take part in cooperation projects with external partners such as universities and other research institutes. the work will be done in close cooperation with the rest of the RF group as well as other R&D oriented parts of the clients Swedish and international organization.
Skills requirement:
The ideal candidate will hold a strong mathematical background ideally with practical experience with wavelets, neural networks, regression, statistics, Kalman filters, bayesian models and other numerical optimization techniques as well as expert knowledge application specific signal processing algorithms and their applications to the RF area eg interference cancellation, multi carrier clipping .
6 years industry experience from industry or academia within relevant field.
Having a background as an industry pre development engineer or researcher is desirable-but not mandatory.
A M.SC in electrical engineering or a working background from Digital Signal Processing or a PHD on digital pre-distortion or similar required.
The ideal candidate must be open minded
Good communication skills, both in written and spoken English.
Be open minded and eager to share Knowledge, ideas and experiences and should have proven capability to pursue creative solutions.
A good understanding of transmitter related hardware imperfections and a good knowledge and deep understanding of algorithms for digital correction thereof is necessary.
Good communication, documentation and presentations skills are a must
