Senior/Principal Geologist- Aberdeen

Progressive Global Energy are currently resourcing for an exciting new position which has become available for the successful applicant in Aberdeen.

The role is for a Senior/Principal Geologist to join a large, independant consultancy based in Aberdeen on a permenant basis.

The consultancy has been operating from Aberdeen for 12 years, however, in the last 2 years has opened a new Subsurface Division which is handling subsurface projects from a number of North Sea and Global Operators such as Fairfield, Taqa and CNR.

The position will be focussed on a number of challenging projects and will offer huge exposure to some of the clients most challenging and complicated work.

The sucessful applicant will have experience in:

-Well Log Interpretation
-Basin and Play Analysis
-Structural Geology
-Subsurface Mapping Techniques
-Reservoir Characterisation and Sedimentology
-Stratigraphic Desription incorporating Sequence Stratigraphy, Lithostraphigraphy and Chronostratigraphy
-Deterministic and probabilistic volumetric evaluations
-3D geological modelling
-Uncertainty and Risk assessment

Other beneficial skills would include:

-Petrophysical evaluation
-Seismic Interpretation
-Basin Analysis
-Conversant in Reservoir Engineering
